Oh well it was finally closed. I suppose it's a good thing.

Just hop on over to GTAGaming instead where you can see my posting in all its glory, hopefully for many moons to come.

It was fun running this, but launching it at the wrong time proved fatal.

Poets of the Fall: Late Goodbye - single available to buy online
posted by Neil @ 19:00:05 | Category: News | Comments: 3783
You can now purchase the CD single of 'Late Goodbye' by Poets of the Fall online. Fans of the Max Payne series will remember it from various times during Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, where many characters were heard singing it and it was also played during the credits of the game.
The CD single includes a number of versions of the title track and a new song called 'Everything Fades'. The great news is that EU residents can get their copy from CDON.com for just €2.95+P&P.

New Rockstar Studio
posted by Neil @ 13:04:40 | Category: News | Comments: 463
Take 2 Interactive today announced that it has acquired Mobius Entertainment Ltd. - the developers of the Game Boy Advance version of Max Payne. The company will now be renamed to Rockstar Leeds, and has become a full member of the Rockstar Games family.

"We were very impressed with the Mobius development team from the time they began work on the Game Boy® Advance version of Max Payne. They bring a uniquely progressive vision to the titles they develop and we believe this studio is ahead of the industry on next generation handheld development. We are proud to have them join the Rockstar family"
Sam Houser, Rockstar Games President

Aside from developing the GBA version of Max Payne, Rockstar Leeds have also worked on hits like Lego Drome Racers (THQ) and Pop Idol (Codemasters).

As you will now be able to see MaxPayne Gaming has a new Admin to help with the running of this fine site. I'll basically be helping Neil keep the site updated and fresh by helping to add new content, downloads, news and various other things.

I'd like to start by saying that i've selected a brand new POTD seeing as the old one was starting to get a bit stale. Hopefully there'll be a lot more to come.

Lupino Showdown
posted by Neil @ 10:58:58 | Category: Modifications | Comments: 2583
Uisor recently released a Dead Man Walking map of the Lupino Showdown from the original Max Payne. The map includes a great new Sam Lake skin (the original Max Payne player model) and is very true to the original. This mod also allows you to play the regular Max Payne 2 levels with the new skin. The map also includes new weapon sounds and voices from Max Payne 1. BulletTime has also been changed back to it's original.

The Picture of the Day developed a fault which prevented any images from being sumitted. However, this has since been resolved, so please Submit Screenshots to Max Payne Gaming and they'll be shown on the site.

A great new Max Payne 2 weapons page has been added to the site. View it here.
Apologies for how long it's taken for me to update, but I will be completing all the other pages soon.
